At AFZ, the only future we envision is one that goes hand in hand with sustainability. Therefore, while electric vehicles travel the streets of our business city, we also have an ambitious plan to implement sustainable mobility in AFZ through bicycles, electric buses, charging stations, and connectivity with Heredia’s urban train service. Our tech park always considers three components in its operation: social, economic, and environmental.

We are working together with the Municipality of Heredia on a shared bicycle project, which aims to facilitate new means of transportation with clean energy between the city of Heredia and our business city.

Another of our future projects is the implementation of carpooling. This way, both drivers and passengers can publish the routes they need to travel -with dates and times- to agree on splitting costs and traveling together. Carpooling offers many benefits such as reduced transportation costs, happier employees for the comfort of traveling, and reduced CO2.

Moreover, at AFZ we will soon have several 100% electric luxury buses to transport employees from the parking lots to and from the buildings, as well as an intelligent stop solution. These types of stations will connect companies and institutions with transport users, providing information, content, and announcements, among other points of interest in the business city.
