We believe in growth opportunities, teamwork, and personal achievements. Last Friday, June 3rd, we launched the Talent First study program, which focuses on developing areas of high demand for the labor market. The project started with scholarships for 13 students who will be certified in Data Science and soft skills once they finish the courses. The main goal is for students to improve their chances of getting a job or improving their current position
Talent First was born after realizing that our companies need improvement of the local workforce to keep growing and creating quality employment. The 2020 Global Human Capital Trends Report, made by Deloitte, reveals that although 86% of the Costa Rican companies said that reconverting their workforce is key to their success, only 16% are ready for it.
Initiatives like Talent First help to reduce gaps in education and to promote the talent available. Its goal is to connect companies, academies, and people in a manner that is innovative, agile, and dynamic, according to the needs of the first ones.
Companies will define their training needs through Data Analysis, which will allow for designing built-to-suit programs for the students. Based on the information collected in the analysis, Talent First will carry out a detailed and qualified design of the academic programs offered to companies, according to the professional profile they require.
The Universidad Creativa will develop the methodology from this program. It focuses on upskilling, which means acquiring new habilities; reskilling, which is more focused on boosting preexisting abilities and adapting them to new context; and neuroscience. This approach to learning is said to push students towards defying and refining their critical thinking.
Furthermore, participants can benefit from academic programs certified by Universidad Creativa and use the tech labs of our business city, among other advantages and amenities we offer.
In AFZ, we want this program to expand beyond companies inside our business city. Firms outside AFZ can access Talent First if they’re looking for training in STEAM areas for their personnel.
