A BUSINESS CITY
IN VANGUARD OF
TECHNOLOGY

Modernity dresses every corner of our business city, with buildings equipped with the latest technology trends, in 200,000 square meters of construction. We are placed strategically on Costa Rica’s three main provinces, such as Alajuela, San José, and Heredia, which contain 60% of the country’s workforce. Our focus is to allow clients to grow and expand within our business park.

Our business city is full of highly skilled human talent. We have passed from generating 50 jobs in 1999 to more than 10,000 in 2021, thanks to the attraction of foreign investment from multinational companies that offer world-class services. We expect our clients can perform in an accessible, safe, and fully-equipped environment, with all these advantages.

To provide the best technological solutions to our employees and clients, we have allied with Cisco Costa Rica.  This alliance will help us with digital transformation, competitiveness, innovation, and enhance our customer service and processes.

In recent years, multiple Cisco solutions have been incorporated into AFZ, such as IP telephony, wireless networks, routing & switching, and servers.

“The size of our infrastructure is a challenge, and we needed to improve for our engineering team. Monitoring our infrastructure needs is pivotal for the efficiency of our business,” said Sergio Martínez, Manager of IT Systems of AFZ.

The most recent solution incorporated by the technology company is the network administration tool Cisco DNA Center, which we used to optimize, in less time, more than 200 switches, 150 access points, and 200 IP phones. In addition, we managed to install this tool in only four months without affecting our client’s business operations.
We are moving forward. In fact, all our business city enjoys stable, fast, and safe communications, as well as integrity for the saved data. Furthermore, we have improved the response time for our clients, passing from an in-site manual process to another one that is proactive and anticipates any failure in the systems.

Our sustainability strategy drives toward technologies that don’t pollute the environment, and Cisco is helping us toward this goal through the Building Management Systems (BMS).  As a result of these joint efforts, we have been able to be recognized internationally, save resources and improve the performance of our clients.

Innovation is the pilar that we seek to enhance in future projects with the automatization of processes, robotics, and 5G technologies. Our next goal is to keep growing as a high-tech Business City and turn it into an incubator or “test room” of innovative initiatives.
