Remote working reassembled our jobs and the places where we perform them, and inevitably new workspaces must transform to fit into this new reality.
The way we work keeps changing its perspective as we get closer to the second anniversary of the Covid-19 pandemic. Remote working reassembled our jobs and the places where we perform them, and inevitably new workspaces must transform to fit into this new reality.
AFZ is not missing this trend and talked about it last October 28th in the webinar: Business Opportunities for a Post Pandemic World, with the architect and founder of 3g Smart Group, Francisco Vásquez. The expositor explained that the pandemic brought several changes for people and companies, especially in terms of approaching technology. Vásquez added that even when several companies are not used to remote work, this format demonstrated that jobs must focus on people over workstations.
Companies should take advantage of new work formats focusing on their employees’ quality of life, and the social and environmental impact of their operations, rather than worrying about a new paradigm where workstations and offices are no longer a priority. “Happier people are more balanced,” stated Vásquez.
The future of workspaces is one of the main worries of executives right now when cost and productivity still influence decision-making. Factors like security regulations, vaccine distribution, and the end of restrictions for in-site working make this decision process more complex. Vásquez emphasizes that our life is traditionally job-centered, a scenario that’s been imposed on us since the ’30s.
¿What did we learn about workspaces and the pandemic?
At AFZ we know that transformation of workspaces has just begun, and companies are starting to adapt to the new trends where collaborations and meetings are more meaningful in a physical space.
