America Free Zone (AFZ) ranks among the top 100 companies most responsible in environmental, social, ethical, and corporate governance matters, according to the MERCO Responsibility ESG 2023 ranking.

MERCO, the benchmark corporate monitor in Ibero-America that has been assessing the reputation of companies since the year 2000, grants this significant recognition to the most outstanding companies in Environmental (E) matters, their relationship with Employees, Clients, and Society (S), and for their work in ethical and Corporate Governance (G).

Laura Arce, Manager of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at America Free Zone (AFZ), stated, “from AFZ, we feel deeply excited and proud to join this select list of responsible companies in this 7th ESG 2023 Monitor in Costa Rica. This recognition reaffirms our daily commitment to the companies, employees, and business community whom we serve with excellence and dedication. At the same time, it validates the positive impact of our work and the principles that underpin it”.

This distinction is awarded based on a global evaluation that integrates the perception and assessment of 13 sources of information that gather the merits of companies in the described fields, involving 283 experts in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), financial analysts, economic information journalists, government members, non-governmental organizations, among other groups.

This analysis also evaluates the conversation generated in digital media, influencers, and users, the opinion of citizens, and compiles and comparatively analyzes the assessments of different stakeholders to measure the positive impact of each company in terms of responsibility (ESG).
